David is the President of Pension Actuaries, Inc., an actuarial firm that specializes in the modeling of Qualified Domestic Relations Orders and pension valuations as well as the President of Madison Pension Services, Inc., another actuarial and employee benefits firm which specializes in custom designed plans for small and mid-sized companies. Established in 1985, David acquired PAI in 2016 from the original founding principal, Robert Guarnera.
David is an enrolled Actuary and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) and the College of Pension Actuaries (COPA). David has previously served as the Co-Chair of the ASPPA Government Affairs Committee. He has taught several courses for ASPPA on employee benefits and he recently served on the board of ASPPA’s New York Chapter of its Benefit Council.

Erica joined PAI in 2016 occupying two roles as a QDRO Consultant for PAI and a Senior Pension Consultant with Madison Pension. In 2017, she transitioned out of her role as Senior Pension Consultant for Madison Pension and proudly into the Director of Operations for PAI. Erica is responsible for managing internal operations and is committed towards improving and streamlining the day to day processes to fulfill quarterly and yearly objectives.
Erica obtained her degree in Accounting from Siena College and started her career immediately after as a Compliance Consultant with Transamerica, completing Non-discrimination testing for large and mid-sized 401(k), 403(b), Profit Sharing and Money Purchase Plans. She then moved to Madison Pension as a Pension Consultant administering all aspects of retirement plans for small and mid-sized entities. Today, she has more than 12 years of experience in the industry and is a Member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.
